My PhD research project explores sequences as theoretical design method to compose the experience of space. I identified four categories of sequences (sequences of images, sequences of actions, sequences of spaces and narrative sequences) through which I have explored potentials and characteristics of sequences. The research analysis focuses on the work of three major architects and scholars who applied and developed this concept (e.g. Sergei Eisenstein, Luigi Moretti, Bernard Tschumi) and on a series of architectural case studies from the 20th century.
My thesis received the maximum grade and it has been published by Quodlibet in May 2018 https://www.quodlibet.it/libro/9788822901880.
