Gordon Cullen’s Serial Visions: A Cinematic Urban Theory

This research explores Cullen’s role in the development of the British architectural theory of the 20th century offering, in particular, a thorough investigation of his serial visions through an original data collection at the Gordon Cullen archive holds at the University of Westminster. I find this  project very intriguing and it would be great to continue to work on it as part of the University of Westminster, exploring further the archive, Cullen’s projects and urban visions, and finally publishing and disseminating the research results.

The research has been awarded a Paul Mellon Research Support Grant (March 2020) and is partially funded by the Leeds School of Architecture https://www.leedsbeckett.ac.uk/research/architecture-research-group/scene-sequence-and-mediated-commons/serial-visions/.
